EBUN Kusinang Pinoy Restaurant - Manila, Philippines

We were walking around Greenhills shopping centre in Ortigas, at the Promenade to be exact and we came across this very striking color yellow structure. Not sure what it was so we decided to get closer. We were surprised to see that it was a restaurant called EBUN. We we're very intrigued with the vibrant color, frames and ornaments that were on the walls so we decided to try the food.

Just a bit of a background on the restaurant. EBUN is a Capampangan word for "Eggs" and you'll see quite a few ornaments representing eggs decorated on their walls. Now that you know what EBUN stands for it's not difficult to know what type of Filipino dishes are served here, if Capangpangan food is what you thought, then you're correct.

Here are some of the dishes we had when we ate at EBUN.
                                                                        Gatang Kuhol
 Pork Sinigang sa Sampalok
 Pakbet Capangpangan
 Ensaladang Ampalaya
 Okoy Special
 Pork BBQ
 Puto bumbong
Fresh Buko shake

Everything was so delicious but the standout for the night was the Gatang Kuhol. We haven't had that dish for a few years so we were excited to eat it again. The price range for the dishes is between P105.00 to P480.00 pesos which I think is very affordable. See the sample menu below:
