Bohol - Panglao Island and surrounding areas - Philippines

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Blog.

Lets travel to Bohol - Panglao which is located in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines and it is known to be one of the most spectacular destinations in the Philippines. It has captured the imagination of travelers from all over with its world-class diving sites, stunning nature spots, and great outdoor adventures.
My family and I traveled to this beautiful place in January 2012. Follow me as we take you to some of the great tourist spots in Bohol.
Let us begin with the resort we checked in to when we arrived at Bohol. Again, like any of the resorts we've been to, we were not exactly sure how close the real thing was to what we saw on the website so we were kinda nervous on the drive there from the Airport. As the driver drove into the resorts driveway, we knew we chose the right place to have our family holiday. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff who directed us to our rooms. Through out our stay, the staff at Amorita Resort made us feel very special, for one, they called us by our names like "Maam Marissa", "Sir Bobby" etc. We were 9 all together and they remembered all our names including the kids. We did speak to the Manager of the resort and reported the great customer service we were receiving during our stay and we commended him for the great training they give their staff.
So now let's talk about the resort. Amorita Resort is secluded atop a limestone cliff on the southern edge of Bohol’s Panglao Island, Amorita is a tranquil seaside retreat that marries world-class service with signature Filipino hospitality. Managed by boutique hotel group One-Of Collection, the 97-room luxury resort.  Embodying all the natural treasures of Bohol — limestone, shimmering blue waters, pristine white sand, and lush tracts of greenery — Amorita has a very inviting infinity pool that overlooks the azure–colored Bohol Sea and elegantly punctuates the vibrant tropical landscape along Alona Beach. See for yourselves.

Our stay included a day tour of the wonderful tourist spots in Bohol such as The Chocolate Hills, a rolling terrain of haycock limestone formations, symbolize the abundance of natural and cultural attractions in the island province. Centuries-old heritage churches, exhilarating eco-adventure parks, beautiful riverside scenery, and wildlife sanctuaries for the indigenous Philippine tarsier, the second-smallest primate in the world. We also rented a motorized "banka" to go island hopping but before we got to the island, they first took us to try and spot some dolphins and yes we did see quite a few of them.

Oh by the way, my daughter celebrated her 8th Birthday while at the resort, we were surprised at what the staff did when we got back to our room from our day tour. They created the "Happy Birthday" with the tiniest red flowers you could find. After a few minutes we heard a knock on the door and as we opened, there were a bunch of balloons handed to her and then she was serenaded by the staff. It was simply the best. I can't thank the staff of Amorita Resort enough, they really made my baby's birthday very special.
